Middle East: Peace Negotiations

Mr Amess: To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs (1) what steps he is taking to press (a) Hamas and (b) other Palestinian terrorist organisations to renounce violence; what discussions he has had with (i) the government of Israel, (ii) the Palestinian Authority and (iii) the Arab League on this issue; and if he will make a statement; [R] [55295]

During Carnival Week David Amess, Member of Parliament for Southend West, joined children from across Southend and beyond in visiting The Southend Carnival Disabled Children’s Day at the Fair.

David Amess, Member of Parliament for Southend West, recently joined with the Dogs Trust to encourage dog owners to use micro-chipping with the help of a mobile chip van.

On Wednesday, 12th August 2009 David Amess MP supported the first Southend West Conservative Future Quiz Night. Young people from across Southend came together to enjoy a night of fun and laughter at Iveagh Hall.

David Amess, Member of Parliament for Southend West is appealing for any war veterans in the Southend area and beyond to come forward and take part in the Southend Carnival Procession on 22nd August 2009.
