Local MPs join forces to support pharmacies in Southend

Southend MPs Sir David Amess and James Duddridge recently showed their support for local pharmacies at a drop-in event in Parliament on Tuesday 21st November. The local MPs met with community pharmacists to discuss how they relieve pressure on GPs and A&E services.

MP shows support for local florist

Sir David Amess, MP for Southend West, visited a local florist at the weekend in order to show his support for local businesses. Flowers by Sophie Wilson is a florist that specialises in funeral and wedding flowers.

1955 Supper Club hold Annual Lunch

On Sunday 19th November, Sir David attended the 1955 Supper Club’s Annual Lunch at the Park View Suite, Chalkwell Park. The club is a group of Conservatives from all around the local area, including Rochford, Castle Point, Southend East, Southend West and Basildon.

MODS present From Broadway to Bognor at the Palace Theatre

This year’s MODS shows at the Palace Theatre took place on Friday 17th and Saturday 18th November. Sir David Amess, MP for Southend West, was delighted to attend the show, which was full of fun, frills, laughter and amazing talent, on Saturday 18th.

Sir David recently visited Leigh-on-Sea Fire Station to show his support for the brave men and women of the local community who put themselves in harm’s way to keep us safe.

St. Margaret of Antioch Church licenses new priest

On Thursday 16th November Sir David attended the Licensing Service of Fr David Wylie at St. Margaret of Antioch Church in Leigh-on-Sea. The service, which was organised by the Churchwardens & Parodial Church Council, was led by the Right Reverend Stephen Cottrell, Bishop of Chelmsford.
