Sir David Discusses Southend A&E with Health Secretary

Sir David recently told Jeremy Hunt, the Health Secretary that any changes to the existing provision can only be agreed to on the basis that there is be an improvement in services.

Sir David Amess MP visits the World Trade Organisation in Switzerland

Sir David Amess MP, recently took part in an all-party delegation to Switzerland to meet with representatives from the World Trade Organization. The trip sought to give MPs a greater insight into the future of the UK as a world leader in trade outside of the European Union.


Sir David meets with new C2C owner Trenitalia UK

Following the acquisition of c2c by Trenitalia in February 2017, Sir David Amess MP met with the company’s UK Managing Director, Ernesto Sicilia, on Tuesday 18th April. At the meeting the MP for Southend West heard from Mr Sicilia about what plans Italy’s main train operator has for the line.

Southend Alternative City of Culture Choirs Concert

On Friday 21st April, a consortium of choirs from all over Southend will come together to celebrate Southend as the Alternative City of Culture. The concert, which is generously sponsored by Rickard Luckin, will be held at Westcliff High School for Boys and will run from 7:00pm – 10:00pm.
