Sir David visits Southend Airport Business Park

Sir David visited the site of the new Airport Business Park on Friday 9th February to see the development for himself. He was accompanied by Southend Council Leader John Lamb and Cllr Ann Holland and the group were given a guided tour of the site by Harry Bunbury of Henry Boot Construction.

Singing Birds a Delight

Sir David Amess was delighted to attend a concert by the Orpheus Singers last Saturday. The choir were joined by Rainham Ladies, Cantare and Boreham Ladies for an evening devoted to the female voice.

Local MP visits Rossi Ice Cream Factory

On Friday 2nd February, Sir David Amess MP visited the Rossi Ice Cream Factory on Chandlers Way, Southend-on-Sea. 

The MP for Southend West met with Colin Gray, Director of Rossi Ice Cream, who showed him around the premises which featured the iconic Rossi Ice Cream vans and trailers.

Notice regarding school catchment area

Following the local authorities consultation regarding proposed changes to the catchment areas of Chalkwell, Leigh and West Leigh schools, it has been decided that no changes will be made to the catchment areas.
