Sir David attends anniversary service for his old school

Sir David Amess MP recently attended the 140th anniversary service for St Bonaventure’s School, his former high school. The celebratory mass, which was held on Monday 17th July, was a fantastic occasion with 13 priests and The Bishop of Brentwood con-celebrating in St Antony’s Church.

Southend Mayor hosts Summer Garden Party

On Sunday 16th July, Sir David visited Porters Civic House for the Mayor of Southend’s annual garden party. The MP for Southend West was joined by local councillors and dignitaries at the party.

Sir David visits King John School for Annual Disabled Sports Day

King John School, in Benfleet, recently hosted Lions Clubs for their Annual Disabled Sports Day. Sir David Amess MP opened the event which took place on Saturday 15th July and was joined by Rebecca Harris, MP for Castle Point, who presented the prizes. 

Local school celebrates Patron Feast Day

On Friday 14th July, St Thomas More High School for Boys celebrated the feast day of its Patron Saint with a mass and a day of activities. Despite the General Roman Catholic Calendar celebrating More on 22 June, the school holds its annual feast day closer to the summer holidays.

Summer Surgery Dates

As of Thursday 20th July, Parliament will be on Summer Recess until Monday 5th September. Throughout the summer break, Sir David will continue to hold his regular constituency surgeries. The dates of these surgeries are as follows:
