Following his visit to the North Thames Fisheries Local Action Group after they were awarded £800,000 to enhance the culture and heritage of the Thames Estuary, Sir David Amess MP asked the Leader of the House of Commons for a debate on developments along the Thames Estuary.
On Thursday 23rd March, Southend West MP, Sir David Amess asked a question in the House of Commons to the Rt Hon Justine Greening, Secretary of State and Minister for Women and Equalities, regarding the centenary of women’s voting rights.
On Monday 27th March, Sir David Amess MP asked a question in the House of Commons to the Rt Hon Robert Halfon MP, Minister for Apprenticeships and Skills, about the number of apprenticeship places available.
Antonio Lagdameo, the new Philippine Ambassador to the UK presented his credentials to the Queen on Wednesday 8th March. Sir David attended Mr Lagdameo’s Vin d’Honneur afterwards to show his support for the new ambassador and the Filipino community.
Sir David recently met with the new Philippine Ambassador to the UK, Antonio Lagdameo. The former political envoy was nominated by President Rodrigo Duterte to serve as the country’s ambassador to the United Kingdom replacing Evan Garcia.
