Today at Prime Minister’s Questions Sir David asked the Prime Minister what the Government’s plans are to tackle homelessness.

 

Sir David raises issue of falling vaccination rates

On Thursday 14th of February, the Southend-West MP raised the issue of falling vaccination rates in the UK.

 

Sir David wanted to raise this important issue to ensure that people in the United Kingdom remain protected against preventable diseases.

This World Cancer Day, Sir David Amess MP has added his support for better awareness, research and treatment to help beat cancer sooner. 

Kidney Cancer Awareness Week

On Monday 4th of February Sir David pledged to support Kidney Cancer UK’s campaign for research into a national screening programme for the early detection of kidney cancer.

Sir David backs Bowel Cancer UK's campaign for early diagnosis

Sir David has pledged his support to Bowel Cancer UK’s campaign for early diagnosis, and better access to treatment and care. On Wednesday 30th January, the MP met with clinicians and bowel cancer survivors to hear what more can be done to raise awareness, treat early and save lives. 

Contactless bus payments launched in Southend

On Friday 25th January Arriva Southend launched their new contactless payment services on all buses in Southend and the surrounding area. Sir David Amess MP was joined by fellow local MP James Duddridge in the unveiling of the new system.
