gjhfgjhhWhose side is the Prime Minister on?

Friday, 26 March, 2010

Not pensioners. The biggest stealth tax in Labour’s empty Budget - the freezing of income tax allowances - will hit pensioners hardest. The basic state pension is going up by less than inflation - a real terms cut of more than 1 per cent. This means that many single pensioners will be more than £110 worse off. So much for Labour’s pledge to help the poorest and most vulnerable in society.

gjhfgjhhPM forced to U-turn on Defence spending figures

Thursday, 18 March, 2010

This is a humiliating climbdown for Gordon Brown as his attempt to rewrite history has failed and his fantasy figures have been exposed.  The Prime Minister had insisted that the defence budget had risen in real terms every year under Labour - however, Commons figures prove that the budget had actually fallen four times while he was Chancellor. Gordon Brown has made repeated and fundamentally false claims, misleading Parliament, the public and worst of all the Armed Forces and their families.
