David Amess, Member of Parliament for Southend West, yesterday congratulated the 1st Battalion the Royal Anglian Regiment on its achievements.

 

David, who attended the post-Afghanistan homecoming parade in Southend on Thursday along with thousands of other local people, asked the Minister for the Armed Forces to join him in congratulating the regiment.

David Amess, Member of Parliament for Southend West, this weekend attended a Dinner and Dance event at the Sweye Park School to raise funds for Bosom Pals, which supports the Breast Care Unit at Southend Hospital. The Asian themed evening was organised by Sunita Suvarna, family and friends and is the fourth event of its kind, the first being held in 2004.
