David Amess, Member of Parliament for Southend West, attended the Big Event for Southend Community in Harmony. At Southend High School for Boys, David Amess MP engaged in activities that brought awareness to such issues as Minority Reform, CSV Volunteers in Child Protection, and religious diversity, among other important issues.

David Amess demonstrated his support for the World Wildlife Fund at an event at the House of Commons in June 2010.  

David Amess, Member of Parliament for Southend West, yesterday congratulated the 1st Battalion the Royal Anglian Regiment on its achievements.

David, who attended the post-Afghanistan homecoming parade in Southend on Thursday along with thousands of other local people, asked the Minister for the Armed Forces to join him in congratulating the regiment.

David Amess, Member of Parliament for Southend West, yesterday spoke on behalf of small shops and businesses concerned about present levels of regulation. British Chambers of Commerce calculates that, since 1998, the additional regulatory costs introduced by the previous Labour Government have equated to approximately £11 billion every year.

David Amess, Member of Parliament for Southend West, has attended a service in St Clements Church in Leigh to mark the 70th Anniversary of the Dunkirk evacuation.

David Amess, Member of Parliament for Southend West, this weekend attended a Dinner and Dance event at the Sweye Park School to raise funds for Bosom Pals, which supports the Breast Care Unit at Southend Hospital. The Asian themed evening was organised by Sunita Suvarna, family and friends and is the fourth event of its kind, the first being held in 2004.
