I am so very sorry to learn of the death of Fred Pittock - he really was one of the best. He worked as an accountant almost up until the end of his very long life. I offer my deepest sympathy to the family and will miss his smile as he watched me go by on a float at Southend Carnival.
Born in 1926, Fred left school to start accountancy before joining the RAF. After the war he qualified as an accountant and worked for a London firm which he become a partner of before setting up his own firm in Basildon & Southend. Fred retired from his practice at 61 but continued to work until early June 2021! He and his wife Audrey loved to travel and socialise. He always had a joke or a tax story. and was an avid golfer, skier and windsurfer. He loved his family especially his 5 great grandchilden.
He will be greatly missed.
