On Friday 5 February, Sir David Amess visited two local Coronavirus vaccination centres, Highlands Surgery and Saxon Hall, to offer his support. Sir David was given a tour of the centres and was shown how they operate.

Sir David said “all of the clinicians, volunteers and administrators that I met were working extremely hard to ensure that Southend is as safe as possible. I thank everybody involved in the vaccination process for their selfless work and I do hope everybody who wants the vaccine receives it quickly”.
