On Thursday 8 April, Sir David Amess, MP for Southend West, supported Cllr David Garston, the Conservative candidate for Prittlewell Ward, by canvassing in the local area.

Cllr Meg Davidson and Cllr Kevin Buck also joined to support the Conservative candidate before the local elections on 6 May.

Sir David said, “It was good to get out and speak to the local residents of Prittlewell and hear about the issues in the area. I wish Cllr David Garston every success and I continue to support the local Conservative candidates in the local election in Southend”.
