On Wednesday 31 March, Sir David Amess, MP for Southend West, supported Conservative candidate James Courtenay by delivering leaflets around Chalkwell ahead of local elections on Thursday 6 May.

Commenting Sir David said, “I was delighted to be out delivering leaflets in Chalkwell today. Thanks to the United Kingdom’s fantastic vaccination programme I feel optimistic that there is a lot to look forward to. I wish all the Conservative candidates every success in this extraordinary time for our town.”
