Sir David Amess attended Bob Mays’ fundraising event over the Bank Holiday Weekend to congratulate him on completing the Cotswold Ways. This challenge saw Bob walk over 100 miles to help raise money for Parkinson’s UK. The money raised will be crucial in helping to improve awareness around the disease and enhance lives for all those affected.
The fundraising event was a huge success across the four days, with people from all over the community attending. All of whom enjoyed the wide variety of activities on display which ranged from music to gin stalls and lots of cake!
After the visit, Sir David said “It was brilliant to attend Bobs’ fundraising event and congratulate him on achieving such an incredible challenge. The work that Bob and many others do to raise money and awareness is crucial in helping to find a cure and help improve lives for all those affected by Parkinson’s.
