Seven charities in Southend West receive £289,580 in Governmental funding

Sir David is pleased to announce that seven charities in Southend West received £289,580 in funding from the Government’s support package.

The seven charities in Southend West that benefited from the financial support are Lady McAdden’s Breast Screening Trust, Trust Links Limited, Southend United Community and Educational Trust, SeeJobGroup Community Interest Company, Off the Street, Ring O Roses Preschool and The Olive Tree Centre Trust.

Charities are vital for support within communities and have been relied upon even more during the Coronavirus pandemic. The Government announced a £750m support package to ensure voluntary, community and social enterprise sectors across the country can continue their vital work during this difficult period.

Sir David said “I am delighted that seven charities in my constituency received Governmental financial support to continue helping those in the local communities who are most at risk and who are most vulnerable. The seven charities help people from all walks of life and have been chosen because of the invaluable work they have done before the Coronavirus pandemic and during the pandemic. I will continue to work with the local charities in my constituency and continue to call for more support for the sector”.
