C2C rail services discussed between local MP and Transport Minister

Southend West MP, Sir David Amess, met with Transport Minister, Paul Maynard MP, to discuss the current rail services being provided in Southend. The local MP was joined by Geoffrey May from the Southend Rail Travellers Association and Karl Lansley who represented Southend passenger groups. It was agreed that a meeting will be arranged between the new owners of C2C (Trenitalia) the Transport Minister and Sir David.

After the meeting Sir David said:

“Despite claims from C2C that the service is improving, I left the Minister in no doubt that the present service was unsatisfactory and must improve”
