Sir David was curious to find out about broadband in Southend

On Tuesday 22nd November BT held a reception in Parliament to outline the future of the UKs broadband. Sir David was keen to attend as he was curious to find out what the future looks like for broadband in Southend. In 2015 Southend was one of the first towns to get fibre-based broadband technology which replaced previous networks in order boost internet speeds. It was part of a scheme by BT to invest £2.5 billion in high-speed broadband which would become available to two-thirds of the UK. The boost to broadband aimed to benefit householders and businesses. BT remains committed to keeping the UK at the forefront of internet speeds on the world stage.
