On Tuesday 20th October, the British Veterinary Association (BVA) hosted a Parliamentary Briefing Event, which was an opportunity for MP’s to hear from Sean Wensley, the new President of BVA.
Mr Wensley gave a short presentation on topical issues, notably One Health in a global context (including antimicrobial resistance), welfare at slaughter, bovine TB and endemic disease eradication, dog breeding and trade, as well as the protection of the ‘veterinary nurse’ title.
Following Mr Wensley’s presentation, MP’s had the opportunity to meet with a number of the BVA’s key vets to discuss current topics of interest.
