On Tuesday 19th December Sir David attended a parliamentary reception held by the British Vehicle Rental and Leasing Association (BVRLA).
At the event, BVRLA’s Chief Executive Gerry Keaney outlined some of the key recommendations which have arisen from the organisation’s research into air quality, vehicle safety, connected cars and vehicle data. Sir David was joined by a number of his parliamentary colleagues at the reception including Transport Minister Jesse Norman who spoke about the Government’s plans for improving the road transport sector, particularly for companies engaged in the rental and leasing of vehicles.
As well as hearing from the BVLRA itself the MP for Southend West met with representatives from vehicle manufacturers and senior corporate representatives from leading UK companies such as BT, Barclays, Diageo, John Lewis, KPMG and Royal Mail.
