On November 15th Sir David attended the British Red Cross Humanitarian Award for 2016 at Westminster. The awards highlighted the extraordinary efforts young people put in to their local communities. The Red Cross wants to show that making a difference matters, shown as the Red Cross have brought 767 children to the UK on family reunion visas. The awards were open to anyone aged 25 or under, celebrating achievements in first aid, volunteering, community action and fundraising. Sir David was keen to support the Awards as they recognise and celebrate selfless acts that usually go unmentioned.
