On Tuesday 5th December, Sir David attended the British Poultry Council’s Annual Reception which took place in the Houses of Parliament. This year the council were calling on the Government to acknowledge the contribution to sustainable food production and the economy by procuring British poultry meat.

The MP for Southend West joined a number of his fellow parliamentarians at the event including the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, Michael Gove, who addressed those in attendance and praised the efforts of the organisation.
