Sir David attended the launch of Beat Eating Disorders’ new research into the impact of delayed treatment for anorexia in Parliament on Wednesday 15th November. The MP for Southend West was keen to hear about the steps that the UK’s leading eating disorder charity has been taking to champion and guide people who have experienced eating disorders.
Since its formation in 1989 as a result of the merging of Anorexic Aid and Anorexic Family Aid, the charity has been providing the essential support services in order to reach out to those who experience eating disorders. Today, more than ever, Beat gives individuals and their loved ones a place where they feel listened to, supported and empowered.
