Sir David Amess MP attended an annual reception for the All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Print on Wednesday, 4th July. The APPG, chaired by Lord O’Neil of Clackmannan, was also joined by the British Printing Industries Foundation (BPIF), a trade body working to improve the competitiveness of the print sector.
Southend West’s MP was able to speak with UK printing businesses in attendance about the work they do and how print plays a vital role in UK industry. Most of the printing businesses are small to medium sized and the event focused on productivity in the sector. Sir David was pleased to hear about the importance of these businesses to the UK’s economy and how its future can be sustained and improved.
