Comment from Sir David Amess, Member of Parliament for Southend West:
“I have today received an email from c2c regarding new trains and proposed alterations to the timetable. Every constituent who has written to me since Christmas regarding the impact that c2c timetable changes have had on their lives is receiving a copy of the letter.
I have said to the Managing Director of c2c, Julian Drury, that he must prioritise a meeting with me for next week. Of course I am pleased that the new rolling stock will be arriving in October but, between now and then, I want precise details about the alterations to the current timetable which will be taking effect from 14th May. My priority will be that they address the concerns which have been raised with me by Southend commuters.”
