Southend West MP, David Amess, was full of praise for Essex Air Ambulance service following his visit to their Colchester base. Amess met with Jane Gurney, Chief Executive Officer, as well as other key staff as he learnt about the vital work of the service and the challenges the air ambulance team faces. Essex Air Ambulance are currently fighting for more helipads, VAT discounts on certain vital supplies, and for clearer position statements around HEMs and inter-hospital transfers.

Mr Amess, promising to support the Air Ambulance, stated, “It was wonderful to visit Essex Air Ambulance and to hear about the fantastic work they do across the whole county. They are a credit to Essex and I certainly hope to campaign in Parliament on their behalf.”
