On Tuesday 12th April Sir David gave the welcome address in the All-Party Parliamentary Fire Safety & Rescue Group reception on behalf of the Fire Industry Association.

This reception celebrated the 50th anniversary of the Fire Industry Association and the 100th Anniversary of the Fire Extinguishing Trades Association. During the reception the guests also received a summary of the findings into a study of the true cost of false alarms arising from automatic fire detection systems.
