Sir David was delighted to be invited to the Shabbat Morning Service to celebrate the 70th Anniversary of the Southend & District Reform Synagogue. Founded as Southend Liberal Synagogue in Leigh-on-Sea in 1946 it has moved and changed names a number of times over the decades, eventually becoming the Southend and District Reform Synagogue in 1972. Attended by various other local community representatives and members of the synagogue community, the celebrations were enjoyed by all.
