On Sunday 6th September, ‘The Big Event’ took place at Priory Park.

‘The Big Event’ is organised by Southend Community-in-Harmony Partnership each year and regularly attracts over 3500 people, who enjoy the various stalls, displays, singing, dancing and sports activities that take place.

Sir David said “It was wonderful to see so many local people turn out for this fantastic event. I would like to congratulate everyone who was involved in making the day such a success, especially Southend Community-in-Harmony Partnership who worked very hard to make it all happen.”
