Contact David
David is always very happy to hear from constituents in Southend West requiring help and support.
If you are a constituent of David’s and require his assistance, you can contact him in the following ways:
E-mails can be sent to [email protected]. However, due to the great volume of e-mails David receives, we cannot always guarantee a prompt response. David does ask that important matters are put to him by letter.
Letter
To bring a matter to David’s attention straight away, the fastest way is to write to him stating your name, address and telephone number, with a brief description of your case.
Photocopies of a small number pertinent documents outlining your case are also especially useful. Please do not send original documents.
All letters should be addressed to: ‘David Amess MP, House of Commons, London, SW1A 0AA’.
Please do not address letters to David’s constituency office as this will delay your correspondence.
Fax
Our fax line is open 24 hours a day. The number is: 020 7219 2245. Letters sent by this method should be set out in the matter stated above.
Make an appointment
David is always happy to see constituents in person as an initial point of contact on matters of concern to them. He holds regular surgeries by appointment at his constituency office, Iveagh Hall, 67 Leigh Road, Leigh-on-Sea, Essex, SS9 1JW.
Surgeries are normally held on the first and third Friday of each month between 2pm and 5pm.
Appointments can be made by phoning David’s constituency office on 01702 472391 between 9am and 12 noon, Monday to Friday.
Please note that, due to the limited number of appointments available, if you have already seen David at surgery you may be asked to correspond with him by letter as above.
Responding to a letter David has sent you
If you wish to respond to a letter David has sent you, please write to him at the House of Commons. We are not able to deal with further enquiries by telephone.
