On Saturday 30th May, Sir David, along with conservative councillors and supporters, took to the roads of Southend West in an open top bus to thank voters for their support in the 2015 election.

On Tuesday, 26th May, an evening reception was held at Ingatestone Hall to mark 75 years of Citizens Advice Bureau service across the county and Sir David was invited to attend in recognition of the support that he has provided for them over the years.
Southend United Football Club paraded along the seafront, on Monday, 25th May, in an open-top bus in order to display the League 2 Play-Off Trophy and celebrate their promotion to League 1.
On Monday, 25th May, the May Fair took place at the Leigh Library Gardens and St Clements Church Tower was open for visitors.
David is a great animal lover and this is reflected in his record in parliament.
Southend United Football Club were crowned the 2015 League 2 Play-Off champions, on Saturday, 23rd May, after beating Wycombe Wanderers on penalties in an emphatic final at Wembley.
