David Amess spent two days at the Conservative Party Conference, meeting a number of interesting and influential people, such as the Welsh singer Charlotte Church pictured above.
Local MP David Amess has visited the Royal National Institute of Blind People's futuristic sight loss simulator to experience at first hand common sight conditions and find out how he can work with RNIB to reduce the risk of sight loss for people in Southend West.
David Amess MP met Dr Brian May at this year’s Conservative Party Conference. Dr May, made famous as part of the band Queen, went on in later life to earn a PhD in astrophysics and is currently campaigning against badger culling. Dr May is also a life-long Conservative supporter.
This year’s Social Action Zone at the Conservative Party conference focused on a ‘Support our Soldiers’ theme. Boxes were packed and will be sent in time for New Year to bring soldiers some ‘cheer for the New Year’. David Amess MP took part, along with other delegates including the Prime Minister.
