On Friday 16th June, Sir David attended the Essex Business Women’s Experience at the Park Inn Radisson Hotel. The event presented the opportunity for women across Essex to showcase their businesses and network with each other.
Sir David, recently attended the annual Civic Service event at St Clement’s Church in Leigh-on-Sea. The event which took place on Sunday 18 June, included the blessing of the new Mayor of Southend, Cllr Fay Evans.
Every year, schools from South East Essex come together to put on a spectacular concert at the Cliffs Pavilion in Westcliff. This year the festival ran from Monday 12th to Friday 16th June with over sixty schools and more than two and a half thousand children taking part over the week.
Thames Estuary Yacht Club recently hosted their annual ‘At Home’ event for members. Sir David Amess, MP for Southend West, attended this years’ gathering, which took place on Friday 9th June, along with the Mayor of Southend, Fay Evans.
On Friday 9th June, Sir David attended a celebratory event for the Filipino community in Southend West. The evening, which was sponsored by the Filipino-British Association, was held at Our Lady of Lourdes Primary School.
Following his re-election as the MP for Southend West, in which he received 26,046 votes (55.2%), Sir David provided this statement thanking all those who voted for him and setting out his plans in the new Parliament:
