On Friday 24th February Sir David Amess attended a fundraiser organised by The Voice UK contestant Leanne Jarvis. The event, which took place at Bowers in Pitsea, was in aid of Leanne’s ill nephew Harry.

As part of the Alternative City of Culture programme of events, on Friday 24th February, a number of locals took part in a tour of Old Leigh. Sir David Amess, MP for Southend West, joined his constituents to get an insight into the history of the popular seaside area.

C2C rail services discussed between local MP and Transport Minister

Southend West MP, Sir David Amess, met with Transport Minister, Paul Maynard MP, to discuss the current rail services being provided in Southend. The local MP was joined by Geoffrey May from the Southend Rail Travellers Association and Karl Lansley who represented Southend passenger groups.
