Sir David Amess MP joined the Scholars Programme run by national charity, the Brilliant Club, at Edwards Hall Primary School on Friday 25th May. The local MP learned how the Scholars Programme recruits and places doctoral and postdoctoral researchers in state schools.

Sir David Amess MP attended the Scouts Association’s reception on Wednesday, 23rd May at the Speaker’s House in the Palace of Westminster. Southend West’s local MP was able to hear from a Jamaican immigrant whose life was forever changed by being introduced to the Scouts at a young age.

Sir David Supports Registration of Donors to Cure Kaiya

On Wednesday, 23rd May, Southend West’s MP, Sir David Amess, was pleased to attend an event in support of a young girl named Kaiya with the All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Stem Cell Transplantation. The five-year-old, Kaiya, has a rare and aggressive form of Leukaemia.

Sir David Supports #Cakes4Syria this Ramadan

Sir David Amess MP was pleased to show his support during this Ramadan for the Cake Campaign. Ramadan is a time of giving, and Islamic Relief UK was able to raise over £11 million last Ramadan. The MP for Southend West supports these efforts again during this next month.
