Southend West MP supports Heritage Lottery Fund Centenary Projects

Sir David Amess joined fellow Parliamentary colleagues to celebrate the contribution of community projects across the UK to the First World War Centenary.

At a reception held on Wednesday 31st in the House of Commons, Sir David learnt about some of the 2,200 projects funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund. The National Lottery has funded project across the UK to mark 100 years since the end of the First World War, These projects have explored the legacy of the War, shed light on undiscovered stories and engaged people from all backgrounds.

Sir David has supported the project, and urged everyone to discover some of the fascinating, moving and often unknown stories from the First World War.
