Southend-on-Sea Borough Council is conducting an in-depth review of the library service with an intention to ensure it caters to the needs of residents. A further aim of the review is to make certain that the library is operating in a way that is financially sound.
On the 16th of November David Amess MP attended the Southend Library Review meeting in which the importance of Southend Library Review website was discussed. The website holds key information explaining the purpose of the review and the stages that will followed.
Mr Amess commented, “This is a very good idea – it will give local residents the opportunity to check up on the progress of the review and I welcome anything which involves the local community more.”
