Sir David Amess MP enjoyed the music at the South Essex Youth Symphony Orchestra’s charity concert on Saturday 3rd November. The MP was joined by local MP Mark Francois at the concert at Mill Hall, Rayleigh.
The Orchestra, are celebrating their 50th anniversary this year and chose music from around the world as their theme for the charity concert. The show began with a rendition of Finlanida by Sibelius, which was the music of choice at the Youth Orchestra’s first public performance in 1969.
The concert was held to both celebrate the orchestra’s 50 year success and raise money for Help for Heroes to mark the centenary of the end of the First World War.
