As I think most people are aware, Parliament has now adjourned for a short Easter recess until 23rd April. This followed the meeting of the European Council. I share constituents’ anger that we have still not delivered Brexit. My firm resolve is to pursue, in terms of leaving the European Union, what the majority of residents voted for in the referendum and my position as endorsed by my re-election in the 2017 General Election.
If all Members of Parliament did as I am doing and followed the majority vote of their constituents, we would have left the European Union by now. I do hope that when Parliament returns, all my colleagues, for whichever party they sit, will follow the majority wishes of their constituents.
