Southend West MP, Sir David Amess, recently flew out to Paris to take part in a conference put on by the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI). The mass gathering of dignitaries from the Arab World, United States and Europe as well as thousands of Iranian citizens called for regime change in Iran.
As a long-term supporter of the movement, Sir David Amess was delighted to appear as one of the guest speakers at the rally on Saturday 1 July. The local MP spoke of his desire for regime change in the Middle Eastern state, highlighting the importance of the 10 point plan set out by the NCRI’s leader Maryam Rajavi.
Sir David said:
“It was my pleasure to join with parliamentarians of all parties to show our support for peascefully securing the freedom of all those who are oppressed in Iran.”
