On Monday 10th June, Sir David Amess met with Essex and Herts Air Ambulance to hear about their life-saving work and thank the volunteers and fundraisers who make it possible.
At a Parliamentary reception, the Southend West MP joined Essex & Herts Air Ambulance's CEO Jane Gurney to discuss their work across Essex. Air Ambulances across the UK serve on average 70 seriously injured or ill patients every day. EHAAT work closely with the ambulance services in local communities to provide pre-hospital care, and save lives.
Sir David heard what further support the Air Ambulances need to carry on their life-saving work, from changes to helicopter landing facilities to new emergency services radio programmes. As a charity, EHAAT continues to rely on support of people and businesses across Essex and Hertfordshire to remain operational and keep saving lives.
