On Thursday 15 October, Sir David Amess, MP for Southend West, spoke at Business Questions and called for a debate on the treatment of people suffering with Endometriosis.
Sir David is Chairman of The All-Party Parliamentary Group on Endometriosis, and the group is launching an inquiry report on 19 October.
Sir David asked “Will my Rt Hon Friend find time for a debate on the treatment of people suffering with Endometriosis? On the 19th of this month the All-Party Parliamentary Group will present its findings following the survey of over 10,000 people. I do hope our recommendations will be acted on”.
Jacob Rees-Mogg replied “I’m grateful for my hon friend for raising this issue during Business Questions again. He has been an admirable campaigner for treatment of people suffering from Endometriosis which is a disease that is of considerable significance and concern to a significant number of people and he is right to raise awareness of it. His report I’m sure will be welcomed and passed to the Secretary of State and if he has any difficulties getting a reply, he can raise it again at Business Questions and I will certainly help him and ensure that he gets a reply”.
