Sir David attends MacMillan coffee morning

Since MacMillan Cancer Support first commenced the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning project in 1991, over £190 million has been raised for the charity. On Friday 6th September, Sir David Amess was delighted to attend one coffee morning at an Assisted Home in Kingswood Chase.

The event was one of thousands being held throughout September in offices, homes and shops across the UK to raise more money for MacMillan – a charity which supports Cancer patients and their families.

Sir David said “It has been a real pleasure for me to spend time at the MacMillan Coffee morning here in Kingswood chase. There is no better reason to enjoy a hot drink and slice of cake than to raise money for such an outstanding charity. I would encourage everyone in Southend West to host or attend a coffee morning near them.”

Further information about MacMillan’s Coffee Mornings can be found on their website, where you can request a fundraising kit.
