Sir David Amess MP to be on speakers panel for international virtual webinar on the Covid-19 pandemic

On Thursday 14th May, Sir David Amess, MP for Southend West, will join a distinguished panel of international government and industry experts to discuss the international response to the Covid-19 pandemic during a virtual webinar.

The webinar has been organised by Congressman Robert Pittenger, Chairman of the Parliamentary Intelligence-Security Forum and will provide an opportunity for Parliamentarians from across the world to discuss their response to the pandemic. Other speakers featuring on the panel include; the US Secretary of Health and Human Services, Alex Azar, German MP, Volkmar Klein, SAS data specialist, Dr. Stephen Bennet, and scholars Dr. Scott Atlas with Hudson Institute and Dr. Avik Roy.

Ahead of the event Sir David said, “I am delighted to be taking part in this webinar and I am very much looking forward to hearing from a range of Parliamentarians about their approach to the Covid-19 pandemic. This truly is a global crisis and I hope that international co-operation will create a forum for answers, in particular regarding finding a vaccine.”
