Leigh-on-Sea restaurant Simply Seafood held a fundraising event for local charity Havens Hospices on Sunday 13th May.
Sir David Amess, MP for Southend West, attended the event to show his support for good cause. The local MP joined Simply Seafood Manager Marios and special guest Rudolf Walker, who plays Patrick Trueman in Eastenders, to raise money for the new Fair Havens hospice in Southend.
Havens’ new hospice will allow the charity to increase the number of services they deliver to a greater number of people, within a setting that helps rather than hinders them to support those who are life-limited and their loved ones. At present the project is nearing its funding goal to allow construction to start on the already secured site later this year.
