Ringing the changes at Southend Blind Welfare Fete

Sir David Amess called in to Elkington House on Saturday to join residents at the annual Southend Blind Welfare Garden Fete. Visitors were entertained by the Southend Operatic and Dramatic Society and the Old Chimers bell-ringers. Sir David tried his hand at ringing along with the Mayoress and they both found out that it is not as easy as it looks.

The sun shone on the occasion and a good sum of money was raised for the Association.
