Sir David was delighted to be informed that complaints from constituents and residents regarding the state of the Leigh Cliffs, the Belvedere and speeding along Cliff Parade will be acted upon.
There will be a police mobile camera team along the Leigh Cliffs actively monitoring and booking speeders and there will be increased patrols along the Cliffs.
Sir David has been to visit the site multiple times, most recently on 9 October, and has said “I am very pleased to hear that the local police are appropriately intervening with the Cliffs and the Belvedere. The amount of graffiti and rubbish is not acceptable, and the speeding is incredibly dangerous. I would like to thank Councillor Paul Gilson and Andy Wilkins for their hard work in achieving this result”.
