MP joins Wesley Methodist Church in Celebration & Remembrance charity concert

On Saturday 13th October, Sir David Amess MP attended the Celebration & Remembrance Concert at Wesley Methodist Church. The concert was held to celebrate the church’s 120th anniversary and to commemorate the end of World War One, with proceeds going to support the church and the Salvation Army.

Sir David enjoyed music from the bands of the Leigh and Southend Salvation Army, and the Hadleigh-based choir The Orpheus Singers. The MP said that he was delighted to join the church in celebrating 120 years as an important part of the Leigh community, and mark the end of the First World War in this this special year of remembrance.
