David Amess MP celebrates Southend Cricket Festival at Garon Park

On Sunday 9th August David Amess, Member of Parliament for Southend West joined local cricket enthusiasts in celebrating the climax of the Essex Auto Group Southend Cricket Festival at Garon Park where the Essex Eagles took on the Nottinghamshire Outlaws.


Crowds gathered from across Southend and beyond to watch the Essex Eagles win a tremendous victory over the Nottinghamshire Outlaws on what turned out to be a gloriously sunny afternoon at Garon Park.


Following a strong performance by the Essex Eagles Mr Amess joined in the celebrations with Peter Butler, the Chairman of the Southend Cricket Festival Committee and young cricket enthusiasts from Westcliff High School for Boys and Southend High School for Boys who had certainly come dressed for the sunny weather!
