Friday, 26 September, 2014

David Amess MP, on Saturday 13th September, attended a Prayer Breakfast at Leigh Elim Church. The Breakfast was one of many events taking place in England as 1,000 Koreans visited to talk about life and faith, as well as pray for this nation and the host churches.

In the early 20th century, England sent missionaries to Korea and despite the death of many of them, they established a small community of believers which has grown hugely in recent years. They see England as ‘the mother of their beliefs’ as a result of the missionaries’ work.

David said: "I was pleased to take part in this wonderful occasion, as it was an enjoyable experience for both the Korean visitors and their British hosts. I would like to thank the Koreans for their prayers and the host churches for their hospitality."
