Southend MP attends Queen’s Speech

After the election on 12th December, the Queen opened Parliament last Thursday with a speech highlighting the Government’s priorities and bold domestic agenda for the months ahead following the Conservative’s election success.

Sir David re-elected as Member of Parliament for Southend West

Just after 02:00 on the morning of Friday 13th December, it was announced that Sir David had been returned as the Southend West MP with an increased majority.  

Sir David received 27,555 votes which represented 59.2% vote share. Locally, there was a turnout of 67.4%.

Southend MP supports Mental Health Charter

On Tuesday 29th October, Sir David Amess MP hosted a Parliamentary event to support a Child Mental Health Charter. 1 in 8 children currently have at least one mental health disorder: the charter seeks to improve mental health services for children.
