Sir David Amess MP has today pledged his support for the Long Live the Local Campaign to help pubs in Southend West keep their doors open. Sir David Amess joins the more than 240,000 people who have signed the petition so far, including 345 in Southend West alone. 

Sir David meets Holocaust survivor in Parliament

On Wednesday 15th January, Sir David Amess met with Eve Kugler, a Holocaust Survivor in Parliament. Together with other Members of Parliament and Peers, the Southend MP spoke with Ms Kugler about how important it is that the Holocaust is not forgotten.  

Southend MP attends Tamil Harvest Festival

On Sunday 12th January, Sir David Amess joined with the local Tamil community as they held Harvest Festival celebrations.  

The event was held at St Peter’s Community Hall in Westcliff-on-Sea and included musical performances and dances.
