Local MP Visits Leigh-on-Sea Girl Guide Unit

On Friday 22 June, Sir David visited the 8th Leigh-on-Sea Girl Guides at St. Michael’s Church in his constituency. The MP for Southend West met the guides of the well-known organisation to learn about their work and the activities they take part in.

Sir David Enjoys John Seeley’s Jazz and Saxophone Group Summer Concert

Sir David was delighted to attend the Summer Concert of John Seeley’s Jazz and Saxophone Group on Thursday 21 June. The concert was held in the Main Hall of St. Michael and All Angels Church and was well attended by jazz fans as well as members of the local community.

 

Old Southendian Organ Society Hold Concert

The MP for Southend West, Sir David Amess, was attended an organ concert at the Southend High School for Boys on Saturday 16th June. The Old Southendian Organ Society (OSOS) presented Adrian Lucas, playing the rebuilt organ.

Local MP Visits Galleries for Leigh Art Trail

On Saturday 16th June, Sir David visited local art galleries and displays as part of the annual Leigh Art Trail which took place over eight days with 63 artists, 53 venues, and 10 separate events.

 

Southend West’s MP Attends Local Allegro Choir Concert

Sir David Amess MP enjoyed attending a concert at Wesley Methodist Church in Leigh-on-Sea on Saturday, 9th June. The Allegro Choir performed “Portraits in Song” with Musical Director Paul Smith and Accompanist Tim Smith which included traditional arrangements to songs from hit musicals.

MP Visits Kingsdown School

On Monday 4 June, Sir David Amess MP was honoured to visit Kingsdown School in Southend. The MP for Southend West was joined by local councillors Steve Buckley and David McGlone during the visit where were able to meet some of the wonderful students at Kingsdown.
