Local MP Hosts 13th Annual Centenarians’ Tea Party

Centenarians’ from Southend and the surrounding areas enjoyed an afternoon of tea, cake and sing-a-long musical entertainment at the Annual Centenarians’ Tea Party on Sunday 7th October. The party, which was hosted by local MP Sir David Amess, was held at Iveagh Hall in Leigh-on-Sea.



Please note Sir David will not be holding an advice surgery tomorrow (Friday 21st September). The next surgery has been rescheduled for Monday 24th September at Iveagh Hall, Leigh-on-Sea from 9:00 to 12:00.

Local MP Visits Prince Avenue School

Sir David visited Prince Avenue Academy on Hornby Avenue on Monday 10th September to meet pupils and staff following their return from the Summer Holidays.


Sir David Visits Leigh Regatta

Southend West MP Sir David Amess was delighted to visit the annual Leigh Regatta in Old Leigh on Sunday 9th September.


New Pre-School Premises Opened by Local MP

On Friday 7th September, Sir David Amess MP attended the opening of Westcliff Pre-school’s new premises. The pre-school has now been moved from its old location at the WURC Church to its new location at the Apostolic Faith Mission on London Road.


Local MP’s Annual Tea Party for Centenarians Given Date For 2018

Local MP Sir David Amess announced the date of this year’s Centenarians’ Tea Party today. Due to take place on Sunday 7th October at Iveagh Hall, Leigh-on-Sea, the event will be the 13th annual tea party for residents aged 100 and over organised by Sir David.
