MP Supports Dementia Care

Sir David Amess MP has always been supportive of health efforts to mitigate negative effects on the ageing, but one particular concern he holds is the tragedy of dementia and the effect it has on families.

Local MP Backs UK Museums

Southend West Sir David Amess was pleased to express support for the good that museums do in the UK at a reception in Parliament on Monday 21st May. Sir David attended the event, which was hosted by Ed Vaizey MP, alongside the National Museum Directors’ Council and the Museum Association.

Belfairs Dog Show returned to Belfairs Park on Sunday 20th May for an afternoon of family fun.


Sir David Amess, MP for Southend West, opened the event which was held to raise money for Essex Wildlife Trust.

White Hall Bowling Club hold PlayBowls4Fun Open Day


On Sunday 20th May, White Hall Bowling Club held a PlayBowls4Fun Open Day which Sir David attended.


The event offered those visiting the chance to learn about the different variations of bowls which the club offers.


Local MP attends Trefoil Guild Annual Review

On Friday 18th, Sir David Amess MP attended the Essex South East Trefoil Guild Annual Review and Quiz. The event, which took place at Runnymede Hall in Thundersley, was held to celebrate 75 years of the Trefoil Guild.
