Essex MPs Attend International Trade Forum Alongside Ministers

Sir David Amess MP attended the Essex International Trade Forum meeting on Monday 4 June 2018. The International Trade Forum was founded by Priti Patel MP with the Essex Chambers of Commerce as a vehicle to connect Essex’s businesses with the Government.

 

MP Visits Kingsdown School

On Monday 4 June, Sir David Amess MP was honoured to visit Kingsdown School in Southend. The MP for Southend West was joined by local councillors Steve Buckley and David McGlone during the visit where were able to meet some of the wonderful students at Kingsdown.

 

Sir David visits the European Parliament

Last week Sir David visited the European Parliament as a part of a delegation, including former MP Sir Simon Burns. This was the MP for Southend West’s first visit to Strasbourg where he met members, witnessed votes in the gallery, and spoke on animal welfare issues.

 

Sir David Celebrates Diamond Jubilee of Fr. Brian McWilliams

On Thursday, 31st May, Fr. McWilliams will be celebrating his Diamond Jubilee, sixty years since he was ordained a priest in the Catholic Church. The MP for Southend West, Sir David Amess MP, congratulated Fr Brian for his long time service to the Church on Sunday 27th May.

 

Local MP Supports Young Scholars

Sir David Amess MP joined the Scholars Programme run by national charity, the Brilliant Club, at Edwards Hall Primary School on Friday 25th May. The local MP learned how the Scholars Programme recruits and places doctoral and postdoctoral researchers in state schools.

 

MP 'Cuts the Ribbon' at Brand New Post Office

Sir David Amess MP for Southend West and the Mayor of Southend “cut the ribbon” on Friday (25 May) at the official opening of brand new Eastwoodbury Crescent Post Office with new Postmaster Steve Piratheepan.
