Sir David Shows His Support For Disability Equality With Scope

Sir David Amess today showed his support for disability equality at a Parliamentary event organised by disability charity Scope.

The event launched Scope’s Disability Price Tag report, a major piece of research that reveals the extra costs faced by disabled people each month. 

Qatari Ambassador to Visit Southend

Southend West MP, Sir David Amess is delighted to announce that the Qatari Ambassador to the United Kingdom will be visiting Southend on the 25th of March.

 

The visit, coordinated by Sir David presents an opportunity to build a close partnership between the town and the State.

Supporting the Community Through Sports

On Friday 8th of March Sir David met with three young apprentices, Travis, Lucian and Ashley whilst visiting the Achievement Through Football charity in Southend.

Sir David Backs Calls to End Workplace Harassment

Yesterday (5th March), Sir David accompanied by constituent Michelle Russell, joined descendant of the suffragettes Helen Pankhurst is at Westminster to ask MPs to commit to ending workplace harassment, both in the UK and globally.

 

Response from Network Rail following C2C Disruption

Last month Sir David wrote to Network Rail regarding the frequent disruption on the C2C line. As a commuter on the line himself, Sir David is well aware of the issues faced by his constituents who use the line on a daily basis. 

Sir David Welcomes Filipino Ambassador To Southend

Today (4th March) Sir David welcomed the Philippines Ambassador to the UK to Southend.

 

Ambassador Antonio Lagdameo was greeted by local dignitaries, including Southend Mayor, Cllr John Lamb and James Duddridge, MP for Rochford and Southend East.
